** What You’ll be Doing

You’ll be testing evaluating, integrating and configuring DOCSYS provisioning and DNS Platforms

You’ll be involved with system design, equipment configuration and installation, integration, testing and service validation prior to commercial deployment.

You’ll troubleshoot and analyze software and networking configurations

You’ll be able to transfer knowledge to division and field engineering personnel as necessary in the context of new technology deployment

You’ll contribute for TR-069 technologies including defining Charter specifications for CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP)

** What we’re Looking For

Experience activating and maintaining customer premise equipment (CPE) per the DOCSIS and PacketCable specifications

Experience with configuration of CPE using the TR-069 and related specifications

Strong comprehension of the DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and TFTP protocols

Ability to maintain and administer UNIX-based (*nix, Solaris, Linux) computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

Basic experience with performance tuning, package installation, patch management updates, network and server management issues

Basic knowledge of troubleshooting tools (i.e tcpdump, netstat, iostat, traceroute, snoop)

Basic experience with System monitoring applications (Nagios, Solarwinds, HP OpenView, etc).

Solid understanding of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, NFS), switches and firewalls
