They are a special group who stand tall among a section that was dominated by the men so far. When women decide to go hand in hand, amazing things can be achieved. Women in Technology conferences and events are for women who work in technology or aspire to be in this field and for the companies that support diversity.

Global Tech Women’s Voices Conference

When: March 6-10, 2017

Where: Held around the world. Starting in Australia and ending in Silicon Valley, US

About: This is a global conference in true sense celebrating women in tech around the world. The event offers complete access for everyone to participate physically or virtually removing all barriers to participation. The focus of this conference is also on supporting early in their education all the way to their successful retirement.

Women in Tech Festival 2017

When: March 24-25, 2017

Where: Mountain View, CA

About: This 2-day event aims at empowering, inspiring and supporting women in STEM and tech and building the “She-Economy”. This event is a great platform for you to create lasting connections and exchange ideas in a welcoming, supportive and fun environment. Some of the speakers for this year are Debra Bracheen (Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, CSAA Insurance Group), Purnima Kochikar (Director, Google Play, Apps & Games, Google) and Deborah Magid (Dir. Software Strategy, IBM Venture Capital Group).

Women in Cyber Security

When: March 31 – April 1, 2017

Where: Tucson, AZ

About: Despite a growing demand and tremendous opportunities in the job market, cyber security remains an area where there is significant shortage of skilled labor. Plus, women’s representation in this field is alarmingly low. Launched in 2013, this event encourages women to look at this field differently, get mentorship opportunities in this field, listen to prominent speakers, connect with fellow women working in cybersecurity and for employers to find and retain highly skilled talent. Some of the speakers this year are Wendy T Wu, Valerie Vizena, Rinki Sethi and Annie Anton among others.

About: The Women in Tech Summit event inspires, educates and connects women in the technology industry. Girls in Tech Catalyst Conference 2017

When: April 23-25, 2017

Where: San Francisco, CA

About: This event allows attendees to participate in true and honest conversations about issues like gender diversity and technology. This conference will have inspiring keynotes from female leaders, lot of networking opportunities and opportunities to create lasting business relationships with industry leaders and exciting discussions and sage advice on innovation and technology. There are more than 2 dozen speakers confirmed for this year’s event which include Amy Bunszel (VP, AutoCAD Products, Autodesk), Rashmi Kumar (VP of IT, McKesson), Jennifer Tejada (President & CEO, Keynote) among others.

Women of the Channel Leadership Summit West 2017

IEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference

About: WIE ILC focuses on providing leading-edge professional development for mid-level and senior women in the fields of technology, academia, or government. Their mission is to inspire, engage and advance women in engineering through technical seminars, networking events  and education programs. Women in Technology – A Colorado Technology Association Event

Where: Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch, Larkspur, CO

About: This is the 7th year of this event that celebrates women across Colorado’s growing tech community. Women at all stages of their career are invited to attend. 23rd Annual Women in Technology Summit

When: June 11-13, 2017

Where: San Jose, CA

About: This is one of the biggest and highly awaited event for Women in Technology which allows the attendees to collaborate with peers, explore new business opportunities and build and expand strong connections in a welcoming environment of women committed to each other’s success. It is a 3 day jam packed event with 200 speakers and infinite opportunities. Patricia Arquette, award-winning actress and humanitarian was the keynote speaker last year.

Geek Girl Tech Conference 2017

When: June 17, 2017

Where: San Diego, CA

About: The 5th Annual Geek Girl San Diego Tech Con event brings together hundreds of women and men to grow and sharpen their tech skills. Some of the speakers are Alex Cameron (Founder & CEO, Signature Social Marketing Consulting), Heather Wilde (CTO, ROCeteer), Chris COrriveau (CTO, LocalStack) and Susie Cawood (Community Development Specialist, SW Market Captian, Microsoft).

Wonder Women Tech

Where: Long Beach, CA

About: Wonder Woment Tech is a nonprofit and the conference this year will explore innovations in areas like science, technology, engineering, arts and math, startup/startup culture female founders, diversity, robotics, eco-tech and many other areas. The theme for this year’s conference is “WeAreChangeMakers”. Last year’s event had around 2000 attendees. Some of the speakers from last were Shannon Hematian (Co-Founder & CFO, Pip TompkinStodio), Almas Jiwani (President Emertius UN Women NC Canada- CEO Almas Jiwani Foundation), Maria Benjamin (Director of Engineering, Pandora), Jennifer Howland (Executive, Pathways for Experienced Technical Women at IBM) among others.

Wonder Women Tech

Where: Washington, DC

About: Wonder Women Tech is a nonprofit and the conference this year will explore innovations in areas like science, technology, engineering, arts and math, startup/startup culture female founders, diversity, robotics, eco-tech and many other areas. Last year’s event had around 2000 attendees. The theme for this year’s conference is “WeAreChangeMakers”. Previous speakers included Rochelle Briscoe (Special Assistant to President Obama in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel), Yvonne Darlene Cagle (Space and Life Sciences Directorate at Nasa’s Johnson Space Center), Kathy E. Anita Borg Institute Grace Hooper Celebration of Women in Computing 2017

Where: Orlando, FL

About: This event, produced by Anita Borg Institute is the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. This is a good platform to connect, inspire and guide women in computing and organizations that view technology innovation and diversity as a strategic imperative. Previous speakers included Ginni Rometty (President & CEO, IBM Chairman, IBM Board of Directors), Marc Benioff (Chairman & CEO, Salesforce), Latanya Sweeney (Professor, Harvard University, Editor-in-chief, Technology Science, Director & Founder Data Privacy Lab) among others.

InnoTech Women in Tech Summit 2017

Where: Austin, TX

About: This summit is part of the annual InnoTech technology and innovation conference. It is designed for women to network and learn from the women who have made a name for them in the industry. There is a theme that the event follows each year. Last year’s theme was “Keeping IT and YOU Relevant”.
