Our client in the Salem Area is looking for a candidate to be part of a great team. It’s a structured, supportive environment that rides on reliable expectations while still allowing for a good deal of independent work.
**What you’ll be doing
You’ll be assisting with the migration of existing applications to ASP.NET 3.5 as well as server and software upgrades.
You’ll be implementing changes to the programming system, including testing, bugging and support for those systems per expressed specifications.
You will recreate/convert an MS Access Database to a SQL-backed Web Application
You’ll be assisting with the development of Data Management Systems
You may be expected to document the program, code, and procedures.
You may be expected to create a manual for users regarding installation and operation.
Your work will involve JavaScript, C#, T-SQL, ASP.NET 3.5, ADO.NET 3.5, Mercurial, etc.
** What we’re looking for
Plays well with others.
BS in Related Field or equivalent relevant experience.
2 years experience in the field or related area
2+ years experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, T-SQL
2+ years experience using ASP.NET 3.5 and ADO.NET 3.5 frameworks
Experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio 2012, Mercurial Source Control, Server 2012
Working knowledge of relational databases, client-server concepts, and web site development.
Technical Writing experience would be a huge plus.
** What we’re offering
Looking to contract someone for a month+ at a very competitive rate. There are no plans to transition this to a full-time position!
